Sustainability fest set at UH-Manoa

Advertiser Staff

Sustainability will be the buzz word at a gathering tomorrow at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa.

Students are invited to Saunders Hall for free samples from local eateries, live music and discussion groups, with topics ranging from alternative energy to recycling.

The event runs from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m., and is part of an effort to make the university more environmentally friendly.

Students will be asked to write their bright ideas on paper posted around the hall. The suggestions will be compiled and shared at an upcoming meeting of the Hawaii 2050 Sustainability Task Force.

The event is free and open to the public. For more information, go to sustainablesaunders.hawaii.edu.
