Kaua'i Council of Advisors to discuss invasive species

Advertiser Staff

Invasive species will be on the agenda in Lihu'e when the Governor's Kaua'i Council of Advisors meets today at 5 p.m. in meeting rooms 2A & 2B of the Moikeha Bldg., 4444 Rice St.

The public is invited to hear Jackie Kozak, Hawai'i Invasive Species Council public relations and outreach specialist, and Keren Gundersen, Kaua'i Invasive Species Committee project manager, brief the Council on invasive species on Kaua'i.

They also will discuss the efforts being made to prevent new species from getting to Kaua'i and to control the species already on the island and ways the public can help.

For additional information on neighbor island councils of advisors, including meeting minutes and agendas, visit the Governor's Web site at www.hawaii.gov/gov.
