The Hawai'i State Golf Association is searching for applicants for the position of executive director, which has been upgraded to fulltime.

BJ Dorman, the previous director, resigned and will move to Phoenix. She leaves next month after eight years with the organization. Deadline for applying for the new position is May 4.

The HSGA has formed a search committee to fill the new fulltime position. Duties include daily operations, operating the Golf Handicap Information network and golf course rating system, marketing, tournament administration, finance and long-range planning.

Minimum qualifications are a college degree or equivalent, experience in sales, marketing and golf administration, supervisory skills, computer knowledge and written and oral skills.

GIRLS DEADLINE JUNE 6

Entry deadline for the 59th U.S. Junior Girls' Championship is June 6. The tournament is open to amateur female golfers who have not reached their 18th birthday by midnight of July 28, and have a handicap index of 18.4 or less. The local qualifier will be June 23 at Wailua on Kaua'i.
