Hawaii Pacific splits softball doubleheader

Puna Waiolama singled in the winning run in the bottom of the 10th inning as Hawaii Pacific beat Dixie State College (Utah), 5-4, Friday in the first game of a women's softball doubleheader at HPU Windward Field.The Sea Warriors (31-11) loaded the bases in the 10th with one out against Jessie Dunn before Waiolama's single scored Tajia Acierto.
In the second game, Ashlee Olson allowed two hits in five innings as Dixie State beat Hawaii Pacific, 4-0.
Amy Gleicher drove in two runs for the Rebels (35-12).
