AIDS Walk for Life takes place Sunday

By Catherine E. Toth
Advertiser Urban Honolulu Writer

The Starbucks AIDS Walk For Life will take place Sunday in Waikiki.

Registration starts at 8 a.m.; the event starts at 9 a.m. at Kapi'olani Park.

This is an easy, 5K walk around Kapi'olani Park.

Cost is free. But to earn a commemorative T-shirt, walkers must raise at least $100.

As of today, the walk has raised more than $70,000 to support the Life Foundation, the oldest and largest AIDS organization that provides services to nearly 7,000 HIV-positive men, women and children while running a comprehensive HIV prevention program.

More than 2,000 participants are expected.
