'Aiea's Lajola advances to national tennis semifinals

'Aiea's Dennis Lajola defeated Jeff Dadamo of Tampa, Fla., 1-6, 7-6, 6-4, to advance to the semifinals of the International Tennis Federation Boys 18-and-under National Championship Friday at Rancho Mirage, Calif.Lajola, 18, who trained at the Nick Bollettieri Academy, will play for the University of Hawai'i next season.
