Hawaiian music on tap at UH on April 28

An evening of Hawaiian music, featuring both students and a stable of Island notables, will be held from 5 to 10 p.m. April 28 at Andrews Amphitheatre, University of Hawaii-Manoa.

Program participants:

i Robi Kahakalau and Friends, including George Kuo, Aaron Mahi and Martin Pahinui.

i Hawaiian 284, a group led by Keawe Lopes and his mele students at UH.

i Uncle Ainsley Halemanu and His Musical Legends, including Kimo Alama Keaulana, Jeff Teves and Paul Kim, with Wehilani Ching, Nickie Hines, Iwalani Kahalewai, Wainani Kanealii and Ihilani Miller.

i The Lim Family from Kohala, on the Big Island.

i The Na Hoku Hanohano All-Star Band, featuring Weldon Kekauoha, Chad Takatsugi (of Alea) and Keao Costa (of Na Palapalai).

Tickets are $10 for the public, $5 for UH students with ID
