Midnight deadline looms to file state tax returns

A reminder for folks who haven't finished their state of Hawai'i individual income tax returns: the deadline is midnight tonight.For people on O'ahu the department will provide curbside dropoff at Princess Ruth Ke'elikolani Building in Honolulu. Workers will be stationed on both the Punchbowl and Halekauwila street sides of the building between 5 p.m. and midnight.
The state is also telling people to consider using electronic filing. More information is available at the department's http://www.state.hi.us/tax/ site, under a column on the right side of the page titled "electronic filing."
