KAHUKU
Car wash will support band

Advertiser Staff

The Kahuku High and Intermediate School band will wash cars to raise money to support its activities from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. tomorrow at the Kahuku First Hawaiian Bank in the Kahuku Sugar Mill shopping center.

Proceeds from the fundraiser go to the band's booster account that helps pay for band camp meals, uniform supplies, dry-cleaning and materials for flags that are made by parents.

"We try not to have to charge the students for these things," said Gavin Min, Kahuku band director. "And we try to get the community involved through fundraisers."

The cost is $4 for cars, $6 for larger vehicles.
