'EWA
Ho'opili project gets Web site

Advertiser Staff

Developers of the proposed Ho'opili housing project in 'Ewa have set up a Web site, www.hoopilioahu.com, to interact with the community.

D.R. Horton Schuler Division is proposing up to 11,700 residential units on 1,600 acres of former sugar cane land between Kapolei and 'Ewa now designated for agricultural use.

Also planned are schools, parks and commercial areas.

An application was recently submitted to the state Land Use Commission.

The developer hopes to begin construction in 2010.

The Web site includes transportation maps showing construction plans for the 'Ewa region.
