Hazardous waste collection on Kaua'i April 28, 29

LIHU'E — Kaua'i county officials announced that the annual hazardous waste collection for residents is scheduled next weekend, 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at the following locations:

  • Hanalei and Kapa'a transfer stations — Saturday, April 28.

  • Hanapepe and Lihu'e transfer stations — Sunday, April 29.

    Unwanted hazardous products will be accepted for safe disposal at no charge, including aerosols, antifreeze, batteries, cleansers, fluorescent bulbs, gasoline, paint thinner, pesticides, solvents and more.

    Latex paint is not considered household hazardous waste and will not be accepted.
