Police arrest man in forgery case

Police are investigating the case of a 21-year-old man who attempted to cash forged government checks at a Wai'alae Avenue bank on two separate days last week.The bank refused to cash the checks last Tuesday and again Thursday.
The man, who has no permanent local address, was arrested Thursday at 4:45 p.m. He was booked on two counts of first-degree forgery.
