Boats and yachts, both ashore and in the water, will be displayed and available for rides at the Las Vegas Boat Harbor.

On The Water Boat Show: Celebrating the Gripentog Family's 50-year ownership and operation of Las Vegas Boat Harbor. In conjunction with Dry Dock Boat Sales and Marine Center of Las Vegas, more than 50 boats will be displayed ashore and in the water. Visitors can test-ride boats, find boating information, and enjoy the Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Boats and yachts 17 to 40 feet long will be displayed, along with a law enforcement patrol boat, plus family activities and a chance to win a new 2007 Bayliner 175 runabout. 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Hemenway Harbor, Las Vegas Boat Harbor, www.boatinglakemead.com or (702) 293-1191.



"The Nevada Passage" reality show: Twenty athletes from 13 states and Washington, D.C., have been chosen to compete in the third episode of "The Nevada Passage," a made-for-television adventure reality show. Team Unlimited, a Hawai'i-based company, produces "The Nevada Passage," which covers more than 1,000 miles state-wide as athletes compete in adventure sports and excursions in six outdoor destinations. Events include a 10K desert run in Valley of Fire State Park May 8, an ATV competition at Amargosa Dunes 100 miles northwest of Las Vegas and a visit to the famed ghost town Rhyolite May 9, back-roads cycling just outside the historic mining town of Tonopah May 10, skiing at Mount Rose May 11, and a visit to Carson City to explore the state's capital May 12. The co-ed teams of pilots, real-estate people, programmers, physical therapists, attorneys, engineers, physicians and journalists includes one "Wild Card" team of two fans. www.nevadapassage.com.



7th Annual Vegas Cruise: More than 150 pre-1972 cars will be on display in a show Friday and Saturday with a Sunday awards ceremony. Free nightly concerts feature 1950s and '60s music. www.vegasexperience.com.
