As part of its annual Earth Month celebration, Aveda Salon & Spa, along with Earth Month partners Ala Moana Center, Betsey Johnson, Menehune Water Company and Pearl Ultralounge, present a "Fashion Show for the Earth" tomorrow at Pearl, at Ala Moana. The event is a benefit for the Hawaii Nature Center.

Award-winning, acclaimed artist Makana is a new addition to the event; the singer has agreed to perform at this event in support of the Hawaii Nature Center.

"We admire the grassroots work of the Hawaii Nature Center and their commitment to environmental education for our schoolchildren, as well as local adults and visitors," said Lititia Thomas, Aveda Salon & Spa Site Manager, in a statement. "The world-class location, fashions and accessories from Betsey Johnson, the talent of Makana, and the work of our skilled team of stylists and makeup artists at Aveda will make this a show unforgettable!"

Each year, Aveda celebrates Earth Month by raising funds to support environmental organizations around the world. Aveda Salon & Spa at Ala Moana has chosen Hawaii Nature Center as its environmental partner in Hawai'i.

"Aveda's interest in supporting the Hawaii Nature Center's efforts at preservation of native species and our educational programs with Hawai'i's children and families comes at a very critical time, and will help to ensure that children on Oahu and Maui can afford the only outdoor education many will receive as part of their in-school curriculum," said Gregory D. Dunn, Hawaii Nature Center Executive Director, in a statement.
