Ala Moana park closes for two-day maintenance effort

Ala Moana Regional Park will be closed beginning 10 p.m. tomorrow until 3 p.m. Thursday to allow city workers to perform heavy maintenance there."This is part of our ongoing program of beefed-up maintenance that we started at Ala Moana last year," City Parks and Recreation Director Lester Chang said in a news release issued today.
The closure was first publicly announced on March 23, according to the release.
Chang noted that Ala Moana park is normally closed to the public nightly from 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. It will remain closed until 3 p.m. Thursday.
