Five-day summer camps offered

Advertiser Staff

Waimea Valley Audubon Center will host summer break day camps in July, giving children an opportunity to learn more about the ahupua'a and its significance to the Islands through play and activities.

Two five-day camps are available. The first is for children 5 to 7 years old, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 9-13. The following week's camp is for children 8 to 10 years old at the same time.

Children will explore hidden hiking trails, learn Hawaiian values and discover the basics of field science.

Cost is $40 per day, $30 for annual pass holders. Sign up for four days and get the fifth day free.
