No. 6 Arizona State beats Hawaii in baseball, 9-2

No. 6 Arizona State scored four in the first inning and never looked back to down Hawaii, 9-2, tonight in a non-conference game in Tempe, Ariz.The Sun Devils (33-10) used eight different pitchers in winning their 12th in a row. The Rainbows (27-17) used three with starter Nick Rhodes (0-2) lasting just one-third of an inning, allowing four runs.
C.J. Retherford (1-1) was the most effective of the eight pitchers, tossing two scoreless innings, allowing a hit with two strikeouts.
The Rainbows' only runs came on a two-run single by Landon Hernandez in the top of the second inning that pull UH to 4-2.
