UH's Mason named to water polo all-MPSF first team

Utility Kelly Mason, of the University of Hawai'i, was selected to the all-Mountain Pacific Sports Federation water polo first team today.

Mason, a the sophomore from Auckland, New Zealand, finished the regular season second in the league in scoring posting 55 goals for a 2.61 average.

Hawai'i senior goalie Meike De Nooy was named to second team and sophomore two-meter player Lisa van Raalte received honorable mention.

UH driver Angela Turnbull was named to the all-freshman team.

The MPSF player, coach and newcomer of the Year awards will be announced following the MPSF Championship this week in Tempe, Ariz.

The fourth-ranked Rainbow Wahine open up the MPSF Championship Thursday against Pacific.
