Pato Banton back for Pipeline concert May 11

Pato Banton, the toaster and reggae singer from Birmingham England, returns to Hawai'i for a concert May 11 at the Pipeline Cafe.

He will be backed by the Mystic Roots Band from California.

Banton (born Patrick Murray) has been a force and resource in reggae rhythms and has toured with some music biggies over the years, including Sting, Peter Gabriel & WOMAD, UB40, Steel Pulse, English Beat and General Public.

The bill also will include Freesound and Irie Souls.

Doors open at 6 p.m.
