Rainbow Wahine rise to No. 14 in national softball poll

Advertiser Staff

The University of Hawai'i softball team rose two spots to No. 14 — its highest ranking of the season — in the USA Today/National Fastpitch Coaches Association Top 25, released today.

The Rainbow Wahine (42-9) swept 2 of 3 from Western Athletic Conference rival Fresno State last week. The Bulldogs, who were ranked No. 25 last week, dropped out of the Top 25.

Hawai'i closes its regular season with a three-game series at Utah State starting Friday.

Tennessee (50-2) is No. 1, followed by Alabama, Oklahoma, Arizona and Texas A&M.
