Police release woman arrested in kidnapping investigation

The woman arrested, 25, is the ex-girlfriend of the pregnant woman's boyfriend, police said.
The complainant, 25, told police a van sideswiped her sports untility vehicle and forced it onto a median in Salt Lake at 3:45 p.m.
The woman alleges three people in ski masks forced her into a van and threatened her with a gun for 45 minutes.
She identified her boyfriend's former girlfriend as one of the suspects.
The arrested woman was released today and police withdrew comments about the case made at an afternoon news conference and also pulled back a CrimeStoppers news release.
Police gave no reason for the action but said the case is still under investigation.
