Kamehameha baseball eliminated, Punahou loses first

The 10th-ranked Kamehameha baseball team was eliminated from the Interscholastic League of Honolulu tournament after two losses today.

Top-ranked Punahou defeated the Warriors 8-7 in the bottom of the ninth inning in the first game at Ala Wai Park. The Buffanblu scored the winning run on a bases-loaded walk in a game that was suspended Wednesday night due to darkness and resumed in the top of the ninth with the score tied at 7.

Saint Louis (4-11) then finished Kamehameha's season with an 8-2 win at Ala Wai Park.

Moses Samia hit a three-run double in the fourth inning for the Crusaders, who will face fourth-ranked Mid-Pacific tomorrow at Ala Wai Park in an elimination game.

Parker McCready went 2-for-4 with a triple and RBI as the Warriors ended the season 7-8.

'Iolani 3, Punahou 1

The third-ranked Raiders upset the top-ranked and regular-season champion Buffanblu at Mid-Pacific in an ILH baseball tournament game.

'Iolani improves to 12-3 while handing Punahou (13-1) its first loss of the year.

Punahou will play on Saturday against the winner of tomorrow's Saint Louis-Mid-Pacific game. Saturday's game is scheduled for 10 a.m. at Ala Wai Park.

Mid-Pacific 12, Damien 9

Russell Doi, Easton Torigoe, Robert Dittrick and Seob Yoon drove in two runs apiece and the fourth-ranked Owls (10-5) eliminated the Monarchs (5-9) from the ILH baseball tournament at 'Iolani.

Damien led 7-6 after the top of the fourth inning before Mid-Pacific scored two runs in the bottom of the fourth to take over the game.
