Advertiser Staff

"An Evening with Head Coach Riley Wallace" event last night at the Stan Sheriff Center, hosted by the University of Hawai'i, raised $200,000 for the Riley and Joan Wallace Endowed Scholarship for men's basketball.

A total of $100,000 was raised through ticket sales, donations, and a live auction. That figure was then matched by basketball booster Carolyn Berry.

More than 400 attended the event.

Wallace, the program's winningest (334 victories) coach will officially step down Monday after 20 years. Associate head coach Bob Nash will take over as head coach.
