Enos retires as Radford boys basketball coach

Advertiser Staff

Kai Enos has retired from his position as Radford's boys basketball coach after seven years at the helm.

Enos, a former standout at Kaimuki who also coached at Wai'anae, guided the Rams to the O'ahu Interscholastic Association playoffs in each of his seven seasons. Radford advanced to the state tournament this past season, losing in overtime to Moanalua in the quarterfinals.

Enos, who was named OIA Western Division Coach of the Year in 2003, will remain on campus as a teacher, according to athletic director Kelly Sur.

"We're losing a quality coach," Sur said. "He stood up for the right things."

Sur is seeking candidates who have at least five years varsity head coaching experience and are certified to be full-time teachers. Resumes may be sent to Radford High School, attn: Kelly Sur, 4361 Salt Lake Blvd., Honolulu, HI 96818, or may be sent via e-mail to kelly_sur@notes.k12.hi.us

The deadline is May 5.
