Driver of '89 Nissan 240SX sought in hit-and-run

Police are searching this morning for the driver of a 1989 Nissan 240SX that was involved in a hit-and-run accident that sent a 25-year-old 'Aiea man to The Queen's Medical Center in critical condition.The accident occurred at 10:25 p.m. on Atkinson Drive near the Central YMCA. Police said the pedestrian was in a marked crosswalk when he was struck by the the vehicle, described by witnesses as a black two-door 240SX with gray primer.
Witnesses provided police with the license number of the vehicle.
Police said the driver failed to render aid and fled south on Atkinson.
