TONIGHT'S MUST-SEE

"Grey's Anatomy," 8 p.m., ABC. Here's perfect timing: The head of the hospital board is a patient just as everyone is jockeying to become the new chief of surgery. Expect the best of care from everyone. Meanwhile, Burke is working on the wedding, with little help from Cristina. And Derek reconsiders his relationship with Meredith yet again.

"Ace of Cakes" season finale, 7 p.m., Food Channel. So you think you have a complicated life? Consider Duff Goldman and his staff of cake makers in Baltimore. They need one cake that recreates a vintage typewriter, complete with letters. And another, for a Hispanic man, that jokingly has a sleeping cowboy with a sombrero. Then they head to Miami and make a six-foot-tall cake patterned after the Lombardi Trophy for a Super Bowl party. All of that is approached with good humor by people still bitter that the Ravens aren't in the game.

OF NOTE

"Ugly Betty," 7 p.m., ABC. Betty tries to get over recent disappointments and Daniel faces the aftershocks of a one-night stand.

"My Name is Earl," 7 p.m., NBC. Earl finds it's hard to get a credit card when you lack a job, a high school degree or a permanent residence. The easiest to get might be the degree, so he heads back to school.

"The Office," 7:30 p.m., NBC. There's big trouble when the office sends out a paper shipment that has an obscene watermark. Michael tries to be diplomatic while soothing a principal who used that paper for his prom invitations.

"30 Rock," 8 p.m., NBC. With the season-finale nearing, Liz is still trying to find Tracy. Meanwhile, Jack's mother (Broadway veteran Elaine Stritch) arrives for his wedding. Other guest stars include Sean Hayes and Chris Parnell.

"CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," 8 p.m., CBS. A boxer lived and trained in a brothel where the prostitutes hated him. Now he's been killed.

"Shark," 9 p.m., CBS. After disappearing for four years, an 11-year-old boy is found with a stranger. Was it an abduction or was he being protected?

"October Road," 9 p.m., ABC. This erratic-but-interesting series wraps up its six-week trial run. Nick finds himself drawn to both Hannah, his high school love, and Aubrey; meanwhile, Physical Phil tries to win back the affection of the charming pizza-delivery woman.

"ER," 9 p.m., NBC. Staffers hustle to get patients out before the hospital is closed for renovations. Also, the terminally ill photographer (Annabella Sciorra) bonds with Sam.
