'Lion King' fans lining up for tomorrow's tickets

Advertiser Staff

Theater fans began lining up this morning for individual tickets to the Broadway extravaganza "The Lion King," which will go on sale tomorrow morning at the Blaisdell box office.

Tomorrow morning, from 6 to 9, tickets will be available only at the box office; from 9 a.m. they will be offered at Ticketmaster outlets, by phone and online, (877) 750-4400 and ticketmaster.com.

Ticket sales for groups of at least 20 are already under way.

In anticipation of overnight and very early lineups at Blaisdell, promoters will tomorrow morning offer coffee and pastries and copies of The Honolulu Advertiser, said Mei Jeanne Wagner, StarrPR senior vice president.

Tickets are $33-$91 ($156 VIP), depending on the performance. "Lion King" runs Sept. 15 to Oct. 28.
