'LION KING' TICKET SALES

Individual ticket sales for the Broadway extravaganza "The Lion King" begin with a roar tomorrow morning at the Blaisdell box office.

From 6 to 9 a.m., tickets will be available only at the box office; from 9 a.m. they also will be offered at Ticketmaster outlets, by phone and online, (877) 750-4400, www.ticketmaster.com.

In anticipation of overnight and very-early lineups at Blaisdell, the promoters are giving out coffee and pastries and copies of The Honolulu Advertiser. There's entertainment and prizes, too.

Tickets are $33-$91 ($156 VIP), depending on the performance. "Lion King" runs Sept. 15-Oct. 28.

UNDEROATH AND EMERY

Christian-metal-band-turned-Warped-Tour-staple Underoath and Christian "screamo" band Emery have scheduled separate June shows at Pipeline Cafe.

Emery's concert is June 2; tickets are $22. Underoath will perform June 12; tickets, $25. A package to see both Emery and Underoath is $40. Each show starts at 7 p.m.

Advance tickets go on sale 9 a.m. today at Ticketmaster outlets; www.ticketmaster.com, by phone at 877-750-4400.

The opening act for Emery is former Hawai'i-based rockers National Product. Pennylane opens for Underoath.
