Monday named Hawaiian Restoration Day

Advertiser Staff

In remembrance of President Grover Cleveland and Queen Lili'uokalani, Monday has been declared Hawaiian Restoration Day in Hawai'i by a proclamation from Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hannemann and a resolution of the state Legislature.

Guests are asked to assemble at 11:30 a.m. on the lawn of the Community Church, 2345 Nu'uanu Ave., then proceed to The Royal Mausoleum, Mauna 'Ala.

People who plan to attend the free event are asked to bring a flower ho'okupu.
