The University of Hawai'i softball team clinched the Western Athletic Conference regular season title with a doubleheader sweep at Utah State today.

Valana Manuma hit a three-run homer in an eight-run first inning and Kate Robinson was 4 for 4 including two home runs and five RBIs to lift No. 14 Hawai'i to a 14-2 victory in the second game at Logan, Utah.

Hawai'i (45-9 overall, 16-2 WAC) won the first game, 11-0. Utah State is 17-31 and 5-10. The Rainbow Wahine will be the top seed for the WAC championship tournament, which begins May 10 at Fresno, Calif.

In the second game, Courtney Baughman allowed six hits, striking out four and walking one. She had a shutout until giving up a two-run homer to Amy Schaible in the fifth inning. Jessica Morton got the final two outs.

Robinson had an RBI single in the first, a solo home run in the second, a double in the fourth and three-run homer in a five-run fifth. Robinson has a team-leading 18 home runs, which broke the UH season record of 17 by Stacey Porter.
