Dolphins pull surprise, pick WR Ginn No. 9 overall

The Miami Dolphins, picking No. 9 overall in the first round, selected Ohio State wide receiver/kick returner supreme Ted Ginn Jr. in today's NFL Draft.

The Dolphins, in desperate need of a quarterback, passed on Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn.

Ginn is 5-feet-11 1/2, 179 pounds with 4.3 speed. He returned the opening kickoff for a touchdown in the national championship game against Florida.
