Weather expected to get wetter into the new week

Moderate trade winds will continue through the weekend, according to the National Weather Service.

Scattered showers will move ashore mostly along slopes facing the north and east coastlines, forecasters said. A few of the showers may drift leeward.

Wetter trades are expected to develop by the middle of the week.

Here's how the next few days are shaping up:

Today, mostly sunny. Isolated showers until mid morning. Highs 78 to 84. East winds 10 to 15 mph with higher gusts. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tonight, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 66 to 73. Northeast winds 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Monday, mostly sunny. Isolated showers in the morning. Highs 78 to 84. East winds 10 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Monday night, partly cloudy with isolated showers. Lows 65 to 73. East winds 15 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.

Tuesday, mostly sunny. Isolated showers in the morning. Highs 78 to 84. East winds 15 to 20 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
