Think positive! That's what they'll be doing today at Kailua Elementary School, where the school's monthly 'ohana assembly will focus on positive actions.

Teacher Sandy Armstrong said the assembly is part of a years-long effort to incorporate more positive thoughts and actions in the curriculum.

"Every month we focus on a different word like friendship or courage to study character issues,"Armstrong said.

The school last year finished participating in a five-year national "Positive Action Inc." study, and has decided to continue the effort on its own this year.
