Police detective to be honored at Kona luncheon

Police Detective Zachary Houchin will be honored at today's Officer of the Month Luncheon at noon at King Kamehameha's Kona Beach Hotel.Houchin is being recognized for his efforts in apprehending a career criminal who was on a crime spree in the Kona area.
Brian Hunt of the federal Drug Enforcement Agency will be the featured speaker.
Officer of the Month luncheons, on the first Wednesday of each month, are open to the public. The events are sponsored by the Kona Crime Prevention Committee.
