The Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center will break ground at noon today for its $12 million, three-story family medical center and training building to be located at the center's main campus in Waianae. The new facility will enhance the health center's capacity to meet the care needs of the growing Wai'anae Coast population, said Sandra Oba, director of development for the center.
Established in 1972, the center has grown to become the state's largest community health center, but its three-decades-old facilities are crowded and can no longer accommodate the center's increasing demands.
