Esprit closing party Sunday; RumFire lounge to come

The Sheraton Waikiki's beachside nightclub Esprit Lounge will shut down Sunday, emerging as a new lounge called RumFire later this year.The 23-year-old showroom will be renovated and replaced by the new oceanfront bar and grill, which will feature private fire pits and a "wall of fire." A signature "rum tower" at RumFire will offer a comprehensive selection of international rums.
Local after hours promoters Flash Hansen and Matty Boy Hazelgrove will host a closing party for the Esprit on Sunday at 9 p.m.
Entertainment will include percussionist Justin James, DJs Epic One and Rayne, and the F&M Dancers.
The closing night party will also offer guests an advance look at architectural renderings of the new lounge, said Sheraton Waikiki spokesperson Rachel Patrick.
