Big Island authorities yesterday charged a 35-year-old man and arrested two women in connection with the kidnapping and shooting of a woman who was found alive Friday in a remote forest area in Ka'u.

Rodney Dean Bohol Sr., also known as Stacey Kealoha Kawaehai, was charged yesterday with attempted second-degree murder, kidnapping, unauthorized entry of a motor vehicle, promoting a detrimental drug, and four firearm offenses including use of a firearm in the commission of a separate felony.
