Waianae brushfire declared under control

The fire scorched parts of Pahe'ehe'e Ridge but did not threaten structures.

A brushfire at the end of Pahe'ehe'e Road in Wai'anae that burned about 20 acres tonight was declared under control at about 8:45 p.m., according to Honolulu Fire Department spokesman Capt. Frank Johnson.
Five engine and three tanker companies along with a brush truck were involved in the firefight, which started at 7:30 p.m.
Johnson said the fire did not threaten any homes.
