Street-sweeping project to limit parking in Salt Lake

Advertiser Staff

The city starts its street-sweeping pilot project in Salt Lake today. The project will restrict some street parking on Thursdays and Fridays for up to a year.

The street sweeping, which is meant to clear roadway debris and reduce polluted runoff, will focus on Likini Street (from Ala Napunani to Ala Liliko'i streets) and Ala 'Ilima, Ala Liliko'i, Ala Nanala and Ala Nanu streets.

The city will restrict parking on one side of those streets on Thursdays from 9 to 11 a.m.; parking on the opposite side will be banned during the same hours on Fridays. For more information about the Salt Lake street-sweeping project, call 768-3600.
