Arrest in Waimanalo tied to truck theft

Police arrested a 27-year-old woman in Waimanalo yesterday afternoon in connection with a stolen pickup truck and motorcycle.

License plate checks found that the truck and motorcycle had been reported as stolen, police said. When a police officer approached the truck, a man sitting in the back of the vehicle reportedly fled the scene. The woman was arrested at about 3:30 p.m., police said.

Woman arrested in bogus check incident in Kalihi

Police arrested a woman yesterday afternoon at a Kalihi bank after she reportedly attempted to cash a forged check.

The 31-year-old woman was arrested at about 12:30 p.m. for second-degree forgery.
