Pedestrian critically injured in Laie

A pedestrian was critically injured tonight when struck by a minivan on Kamehameha Highway near the entrance to the Polynesian Cultural Center in La'ie.The injured man was taken to Kahuku Hospital before being transported to The Queen's Medical Center, said city Emergency Medical Services spokesman Bryan Cheplic.
The accident was reported to police at 9:10 p.m.
