Kaneko, Kim, Kono help West team win Canon Cup

Hawai'i golfers won their matches on the final day of the Canon Cup to help the West team win its third straight title today.Sacred Hearts senior Ayaka Kaneko defeated Courtney Ellenbogen, 4 and 3. Kaneko won all four of her matches at the event as the West squad defeated the East, 27-23, at The Honors Course in Ooltewah, Tenn.
Former Big Island and current Arizona resident Kimberly Kim won 2 and 1 over Lindy Duncan, and Punahou senior Stephanie Kono won 7 and 5 over Isabelle Lendl. Kono and Kim were on last year's West team.
The event featured team match play on the first two days of competition and individual match play on the final day.
