Thirtyninehotel's evening schedule for next week includes a live performance by Paula Fuga on Aug. 10.The week's schedule follows:
Tuesday: New Jass Quartet. Drummer Justin James and tenor saxophonist Ryan Kunimura invite musician friends to accompany them on jazz classics, R&B and funk. 9 p.m.-1 a.m. Cover is $5.
Wednesday: Rising Melody. Open-mic singer-songwriter forum hosted by musician Bret Shimabukuro. 8 p.m.-midnight. Cover is $5.
Aug. 9: Paula Fuga. The Na Hoku Hanohano award-winning musician is joined by Chris Joyner and Mike Love for an acoustic performance. 9 p.m. Cover is $10
Aug. 10: Double Joy Disco. Left-of-center dance music from the '70s to the present from resident DJs Mark Chittom, Koichi, Duck and Grady Gillan. 9 p.m.-2 a.m. Cover is $5.
