NANAKULI
Rotary assists Habitat home

Advertiser Staff

Five O'ahu Rotary Clubs have joined forces to assist Habitat For Humanity Leeward O'ahu in building the island's largest Habitat home —a seven-bedroom residence for a homeless family of 13.

Together the Rotary Clubs of Metropolitan Honolulu, Honolulu Sunrise, Pearl Harbor, Downtown Honolulu and Pearlridge are sponsoring the project for the Kaneakua family.

On Saturday, more than two dozen club Rotarians will work to help the family add the final touches to the Nanakuli structure on Hawaiian Homestead lands.

The family of 10 children and three adults had lived on the beach for years.
