NBA: Warriors sign two, including '06 draftee

Associated Press

OAKLAND, Calif. — The Golden State Warriors signed center Kosta Perovic and forward Austin Croshere to contracts today.

Perovic, the 38th pick in the 2006 draft, played last season in his native Serbia and Montenegro. The 7-foot-2 center helped lead Partizan Belgrade to a championship, averaging 12.0 points and 5.3 rebounds per game in the Adriatic league.

"We are excited that Kosta will be joining our team this season," said Chris Mullin, the team's executive vice president of basketball operations. "He is a very skilled player, and we think that he has tremendous potential."

Croshere, 32, has averaged 7.1 points and 4.2 rebounds per game in a 10-year career with Indiana and Dallas. Croshere played 61 regular-season games for Dallas last season, averaging 3.7 points and 3.0 rebounds per game.

He spent his first three seasons in Indiana as a teammate with Mullin. He also played with current Warriors Al Harrington, Stephen Jackson and Sarunas Jasikevicius during his time with the Pacers. Croshere also was a high school teammate of Golden State point guard Baron Davis at Crossroads High School in Santa Monica.
