Second Saturday's 'Bead Goes On' slated for Aug. 11

Advertiser Staff

"The Bead Goes On" is the theme for this month's Second Saturday event, slated for 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 11 at the Hawai'i State Art Museum.

The free, family-oriented event allows participants to select from a variety of colored glass beads and learn simple stringing techniques. Experienced jewelry-makers will show how to express your individuality by making a unique beaded bracelet.

Artist Kloe Kang will also be on hand to show you just how artists draw lifelike portraits.

Parking at Ali'i Place is only $3 all day on Saturday! Enter the parking lot on the right side of Alakea Street between King Street and South Hotel Street.
