Hawaii acquisition helps Williams Scotsman's earnings

Williams Scotsman International Inc. reported second-quarter net income climbed 26 percent to $14.6 million, helped by its acquisition of Hawaii Modular Space earlier this year.The company reported sales of new units and rental equipment jumped 55 percent from a year earlier because of a large classroom project in Louisiana and a military contract in Hawai'i. The company paid $42.5 million for Hawaii Modular Space and its sister company, Alaska Modular Space, in March.
