Crews to seek inactive pipelines under Nimitz

Crews will look for inactive petroleum pipelines under Nimitz Highway starting Sunday night and drain any excess oil away.The work, which will mean lane closures along Nimitz Highway Sunday through Aug. 10, from 8:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m., is in partnership with the state Department of Health.
Drivers should prepare for multiple lane closures in both directions between Kukahi and Alakawa streets, and allow for extra travel time.
