Swimming: Fukuda, Meisner win North Shore Challenge

Dustin Fukuda was the overall male open winner and Rachael Meisner was the first female finisher of the North Shore Challenge today.Fukuda completed the 2.3-mile course from 'Ehukai Beach to Waimea Bay in 44 minutes, 22 seconds. Mitchell Chong was second in 46:29, followed by Gordon Shutt in 46:40.
Meisner finished the fourth and final event of the North Shore Swim Series in 48:35, followed by Shanelle Choi in 49:30 and Nicole Hagi in 49:46.
