Breezy weather expected this weekend

A high-pressure area far north of the islands is gaining strength and is expected to boost the trades winds a notch or two, into the moderate to fresh range this weekend, according to the National Weather Service.A typical pattern of windward and mauka showers will likely ride along with the trades, forecasters said.

Today, mostly sunny. Isolated showers in the morning. Breezy. Highs 82 to 89. East winds 10 to 25 mph. Chance of rain 20 percent.
